A Fantastic Studebaker Day!!!

An April Saturday in PA at 83 degrees? yes that's what it was for the Keystone Region's Spring Banquet held at the Rainbow Dinner Theater in Paradise, PA. Paradise is just east of the 44th Annual International Meet site and is a great place to visit. 60 Keystoners were in attendance including our beloved Gary Fierce. Thanks for posting the pictures. I recognize a couple of the cars. The 46 coupe was at York last year and the 58 Silver Hawk looks like the one that was at Carlisle a couple of years ago.

I belonged to the Keystone Chapter in the 80s.

The 4 6Coupe belonged to long time Keystone Store master and Virginian Jack Fremau. it was a true find at Martinsburg several years ago. A realtor approached several of us at the raffle car and said he had to sell the car before he could sell the house in whos garage it resided. Several of us immediately traveled north to Waynesboro PA as I knew exactly where to find the car. needless to say the realtor was thrilled as the car was immediately taken off of his hands. You need to rejoin KRC as we have lots of fun and truly are an international chapter with members worldwide. Current membership is at 390. I thought you were going to tell me you knew the guy in the blue shirt in the 2nd picture. i posted that one on purpose. Ask Matt Langston if he knows me. He's a Keystoner and proud owner of a 4-spd R-1 Avanti. Ask him the story about that car.

I only see Matt when I do work on his house, but he is a real nice guy. He seldom comes to our meets because of his young children. He does have a beautiful Avanti, but he never told me the story about it.

Who is the guy in the blue shirt? Is that you? I thought you said you had a beard.

I really like the 46 coupe.

No that's not me as I was behind the camera. That's Gary Fierce. Who is still recuperating from a bout of Asian Flu three years ago that almost killed him. I know Matt wants to be more active and he will be once Max gets a little older. He's interested in the 83 Avanti I have for sale as his 2nd car but Heather is reluctant to let him buy it right now. Next time you see him ask him about the story of buying his R-1. It's really funny.

Sounds like a great time! We got the convertible out for the first time Sunday here thanks to the weather; and it was warm enough that we drove all over with the top down, and didn't even need sleeves or the heater blasting[:I]
