To those still looking for a room in South Bend for the swap meet:
I just "bid" on a hotel on Priceline.com and ended up getting a room for two nights at Extended Stay America. The total came to just $95.64 for the two nights. I've always had great luck using Priceline. The bid I put in was $39 per night and I selected the 2 star option. I tried to get something at the 2 1/2 or 3 star level, but they wouldn't accept my offers. Extended Stays are usually very nice and I know they have a full kitchen, which is convenient. It's also very closely located to downtown. Just thought this may be of interest to those who are still looking for affordable places to stay.
