Honestly, my heart breaks for all you in the snow. I hate cold temperatures and never even visit the snow. I admit that I'm a spoiled brat when it comes to weather. I grew up and learned to drive in So. Cal. We would sometimes go to Newport Beach on Christmas vacation when I was in high school. Then I moved to No. Cal and had more good luck with weather here. When I joined the Marines I got stationed in Hawaii for 2 years. We only had one storm worth mentioning in those 2 years, and that was the weekend I was driving my MGB to the docks to ship it home. For my last few months in the service, I got to spend the most glorious Spring in North Carolina, some of the most beautiful country God ever made. I've been back in No. Cal ever since. The rain stops here in March or April and doesn't come back till November or December. When it gets really really cold, its in the 40's. And when its that cold, I'm the first one to b*tch about it. I guess you could say I'm a bit of a pansy, when I'm here in February and driving my Studes around and at the same time griping that it might rain for a day or two.
So, for all you stalwart souls who endure the horrible winter weather, dreaming of the day you will be back behind the wheel of your Studes, I salute you, cuz I know you are braver men than I.
