Page 43 of the S.I. Catalog has a pretty good Pic of the 800263 '47-'49 Commander and Truck Hub Caps, just domed with a "Nipple" in the center.
    No "Wheelcovers" until 1951.

These '50 Commanders have 1950 Hub Caps with "Beauty Rings" sorry I do not have '47-'49.

For Gary L. > Yes, a Land Cruiser IS a Commander.

Please remember to make your post titles descriptive. I have modified this one for you. Thanks.

Thanks, I need to know what I am looking for, found a stash of Stude parts and will make an appointment to go and look. Hope to find things I need. 49 is high on my list.

There actually were wheel covers in 1950. I have them on my early 50 Commander.

They looked like the 51 wheel covers, but did not have the "bird and shield" emblem in the center.

I am not an expert on these years of Studebaker, but I thought that there was a rare optional wheelcover available for 1949 (at least Commanders). It seems like we researched it when we restored a 1949 Commander and found that there was one available. I am working off decades old memory on this.

I doubt that it will be in a general brochure. Perhaps you will find it listed in a parts book. If Fred Fox did a Feature Article in TW (probably did) on 1949 Commanders, it may be included.

Aren't those pictures of hub caps with trim rings and not wheelcovers?

Looks like the Same Beauty Rings as in Post #2.

Here's a picture I took today of my early 1950 Land Cruiser hub caps with beauty rings.
The hub caps overlap the beauty rings to help make sure they stay in place.
Notice the nipple in the center of the hub cap, and they do look like a wheel cover until you get close and see the two parts.
