1927-1929 Erskine on Netflix - Irish Mob Series

This may be old news, but I was watching episode 1 of the Netflix Irish Mob series (from 2008) and there was a 1927-1929 Erskine used as the getaway car for the Dillinger gang. Seems odd they would use an Erskine as they weren't noted for their power and speed and I think the year was around 1933/34 so it was "old" for that time period. It can be seen in the scene below.

If I had to guess, the Erskine was probably selected for that role just because it was the cheapest available car for a producer to acquire that looked more upscale than a Model T. Add in the necessary "what is that?" factor and it's perfect!
