  • I Think i missed Spring cleaning

Went out in the shop to take a few progress pictures and realized: "IT'S A MESS". Gotta take a evening or two after work to clean it up. As I have disassembled and cleaned, and primered parts, I have had to store them somewhere til I get them on the car.Click image for larger version

It's wrapped up close to the old 232. My lean to storage is full of , I don't know what all, and I guess I need another clean up. Time to take some stuff over in the Click image for larger version

    Ha!
    Try moving.
You'll learn what a mess can really be.

I just started cleaning out my garage this past week. Looked even worse than yours, if you can believe it.
My President is in the shop so half the garage was open. I just worked on that half over the past 4 days. Next, I'll pull my wife's car out of the other half of the garage and do that. Putting up new cabinets and shelving. New peg board. sorting and storing parts and tools. And adding A/C. Mostly I do woodworking but also tinker with the car or truck when it is something simple I feel I can do myself. All the effort should be worth it to have a clean well organized space again. Glad to know someone else is in the same mode.

Well...you old rascal, I could show you a real mess, but it would depress both of us. At least, you have a bolt bin, I have a collection of buckets, coffee cans full of bolts, nuts, washers, screws, etc., among my clutter. In addition, you have had some pretty serious health issues. In view of such challenges, you owe no one any explanations.

However, if you still have it, I will be happy to relieve you of that old 232 oil filler neck (with the push rod for the fuel pump) you had back in 2016??...Back then, I sent you my address and requested that you send me your price and address where to send the check but never got a reply. I think the reason is that you had health issues then and I was not about to stress you about it. I have no urgent need for that part, but it would make this engine complete if I ever decided to fire it up and use a stock type fuel pump.

On a brighter note, I see you have some bare places on your wall, and places for your feet on your floor. Mess??? You ain't there yet!

I had to evict my project TransStar to the "lean-to" and enclose that in order to clean up one area, and now that my 1922 South Bend Lathe is next to that spot, I need another garage just for the Studebakers. I started with a 20x15, now it's 20x40 and still cramped.
