  • Out and about

Had the chance to drive my car today.
Its only 15 below and the roads are frozen dry.

Was nice to move the car from its winter storage space

Your car really stands out against the white background. After growing up in Arkansas and associating snow with icy roads and dangerous driving, I was amazed to see how easy it was to drive on snow in South Dakota. It's amazing what a difference 40 or 50 degrees colder can make!

Rattles and wind noise come to mind. Ask the man who owns one.

But, they sure do look good with the windows down!

I got the car just before the snow came; early November
so I did not get a chance to try it out on the highway
to see how bad the wind noise would be.

The drivers side door will need adjusting to close correctly
and the two side windows on one side don't butt together
at the top, there is about a 1/4 inch gap.
Anyone know how to fix this window problem or will adjusting the door correct this?

                    Mike

Sound's like maybe it's the rear quarter window that' maladjusted.

The rear window regulators tend to break at the "hinge" in the arm. This prevents the window from coming up all the way. Open the door and pull forward on the top of the rear side glass. If it has enough slop to pull forward into the fully closed position, the problem is the regulator. They can be removed and carefully welded. Replacement regulators for the '64 HT are unique and scarce.
