"moon roof" is kinda an out of date term.
Originally, a sunroof was a solid covered metal or cloth. Moon roofs are glass (so when closed you can see the moon n stars at night) and we're most often electrically operated. Now they are all just called sunroofs because there is no need to define the difference. Solid non glass sunroofs are pretty much a thing of the past. Havent seen one on a new car since the late 70s Wich is when "moon roofs" came into being.sigpic1957 Golden Hawk
