    It was standard on the 1958 Packard Hawk but it may have been available in the aftermarket in the day.

ID:	1723922I believe it is as listed on Pg.2330 of the Body Parts catalog. Part #AC-2919 Cover Kit, Continental wheel K3-K7 all 58's. So looks to be a dealer installed accessory but a correct Studebaker part. Mine was added to the GH, probably in 1958 along with the chromed taillight housings which were on the Packard Hawks. The Packard Hawk cover had the spinner while the accessory did not.

            The Studebaker accessory was quite different from the Packard Hawk overlay. It has crisper indentations, whereas the Packard one is not creased in any way. And of course, the Packard one has the spinner. The spinner looks identical to the optional spinner on the 53-55 wheel covers, BUT it has a single threaded stud holding it to the overlay, whereas the wheel spinners had three screws holding them to the covers.
