We had a local chrome shop in my area. Guy would show up at cruise-ins and car shows handing out business cards. Great chrome work but very high price. One day I saw on the news that he and his wife were arrested for loading up his waste chemicals in the bed of a pickup (55gallon drums laid down) and purposely allowing it to leak out as the wife drove around on rural county roads.

They might be out of prison now but I don’t know of any more “Mom & Pop” chrome shops around here.

Update: today's local news at 6 and 11 is airing their report on the bumper saga. The shop owner says they have been messaging him daily. Says it will be shipped tomorrow as is.He means it this time. We'll see.
The action line news show is named "Call Collett" Rebecca Collett is the reporter.

I guess you could say they were 'giving back' to the community!!

              Thanks, Ron
Now the chrome man is accusing the reporter of using the story as a publicity stunt. He told her to stop all communication. He still has the bumper!
His wife says they don't have any money to ship it back.
So I called a shipping co. to pick it up but they're afraid of the neighborhood where the bumper is located. Can it get any more complicated?

Time for small claims court, just for the principle. Or if you have a good lawyer friend, a nastygram can work.

Change the name of the shop to "Darryl's License plate Restoration" of Duryea, PA, and the story will be exactly the same. All you are missing is the nasty old woman that might or might not answer the phone at Darryl's. All I can say is "Never again"
