  • "Pick of the Day" 1961 Lark VIII sedan

'Looks like a nice car. Might be a little pricey if there is any rust, but that would require knowledgeable inspection:

That sure looks like the 61 Bob Peterson found and sold recently and sent to New Jersey. However, this car is in Los Angeles

Time capsule.........and has the split front seat. Curious that there are no underhood pics though.

It certainly does, Justin. At the May South Bend Swap Meet earlier this month, I saw the one Bob was sending to New Jersey. Agreed; virtually identical except for the color. BP

Interesting to have the split bench but no recliners...hmm. Have to love that Autumn Haze.

This was often ordered/purchased when a husband and wife were of greatly different heights.

A really nice car and I like 1961s. I believe that they are dreaming on that price for a four door Deluxe model. Of course, they may be lucky and find someone that doesn't know Studebaker prices (I don't think that I am that much out of touch with the market and what is desirable.).

Also, in 1961 the 259 was not used for the Hawk (except a very few exports).

If it had the OHV 6, it would have been one of what was Studebaker's best selling 1961 model/body style/color: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...r-engine-etc-)
