In Wis.- Mn. we have a farm store called Fleet-Farm (or Farm-Fleet if you are in some areas...family squabble and split up the empire), think Tractor Supply in other states. Last week I bought plated grade 5 7/16 Fine thread bolts (pt. no. 008236710007) for $ 1.89 each and grade 5 SAE nuts (pt. no. 008236710144) for $ .79 I double checked the 'grip length' for dia.,length and hole clearance with my Starrett dial caliper, all seemed fine with the older factory Stude hardware. As I have read many times on this forum "your results may vary". Sherm Green Bay

The 'correct' factory bolts I have measured have a shank (shoulder) diameter of .4375. Bolts at the local hardware store are .435. Hopefully, the ones Sherm found have the larger diameter and we may have another source.

They are special bolts using one from a local hardware store could have a problem, originals have a tapered shank, I have some.
