As much as I would love to have that car its a black hole waiting to suck all my money and quite a bit more from a line of credit into a very long, or never done resto.
I'm really getting the itch for another Avanti. Maybe it's just old shards of fiberglas stuck in my skin?

Does anyone remember a "reality show" featuring DVAP's? They did a show with a 50 Champion 2 door business coupe that had over 9K in it. The first show I tried to watch was with a 64 Barracuda. They were so inept they broke the back glass when it was out of the car but to them it seemed to be a big joke. Stopped watching; too much stupidity. Old man is a jerk, son is a stupid jerk.

The sad fact is somebody new to Studebaker's will probably buy it, sink no time or money or all time and money and end up bitterly complaining about Studebakers. They probably will not take the time to learn, because of a con job someone gives them on this car.

6hk71400 That seems to be the case with all the discovery channel car shows. I've never seen so many clowns and stupid mistakes as what they show on their shows. I've owned and managed body shops and very few of these so call body man would last the first day in most shops. Chip Foose is one of the few that had it together but even they had to ever so often throw in some stupid crap to make the film crew happy. By the way the r-1 looks like a fire damage car. By the time someone gets that built they could buy a nice running car and be driving it instead of working on it .
