Just talked to the painter, and he said he plans to use, "DBC". He said that is PPG's newest technology, and it replaced Deltron. Is that accurate?
      Thanks Much,

I used DBC basecoat on my car. The can has Deltron written down it in very large letters. They have several good clears but the DC series clears still have Deltron written on the label.

Joe, DBC uses regular/standard Reducer. DBU uses a activated Reducer, and is likely more user friendly when and if another repair is needed. a few years ago the Shop i worked at was PPG and We favored DBC for the most part. the Shop in question sounds as though they'll do You RIGHT
