  • Studebakers in racing

The 25 Hours of Thunderhill is one of America’s longest, craziest grassroots road races, attracting crazy fast club racing cars ranging from Spec Miatas and Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsports to full-on racing prototypes. Oh, and there’s a Studebaker Champion out there sharing a track with Norma prototypes, and it’s perhaps my favorite thing.

A buddy of mine just sent that to me and I was also fixin to post it.

Is anyone familiar with this team?
Money may not buy happiness, but it's more comfortable to cry in a Mercedes than on a bicycle.

I like the comment "...by far the prettiest car on track."

Already posted here the other day, I think.

Peter C is converting his 204 mph land speed 53 to a road racer. Another glorious lunatic that never gives up

So we have a Commander racing a Kaiser and maybe a Packard?
1963 Champ "Stu Bludebaker"- sometimes driver
1957 Silver Hawk "Josie"- picking up the pieces after an unreliable body man let it rot for 11 years from an almost driver to a basket case
1951 Land Cruiser "Bunnie Ketcher" only 47M miles!
1951 Commander Starlight "Dale"- basket case
              1947 Champion "Sally"- basket case
1941 Commander Land Cruiser "Ursula"- basket case
