Does anyone have a parts interchangeable guide for larks?

I need a passager front fender for my 60 lark and want to know if a 61 lark fender would work.

Same goes for the passager door. It might need replacement as well.

    Thanks!

Welcome to the SDC and to the SDC Forum Brian!

Actually we have better than that, we all have access to purchase the VERY well written Studebaker Chassis Parts Catalogs, Body Parts Catalogs and Shop Manuals telling us ANYTHING we could ever need to know!

I can tell you though, that due to the Windshield, Cowl, Heater & Fresh Air Inlet, Dash, Inner Fender Change from '60 to '61 not a lot fits '60-'61.

The '61 Parts are quite common to the '62 Only.

The Fender will work if it is without the Inner Fender or you cut all the spot welds and replace it.

The R/H Door fit would depend on which of the SEVEN '61 Lark Body Styles you have.

There ARE no interchange Books for any Studebaker, there has been very little need.
There are several reasons for that, the major one is that all of the Mechanical Parts from 1951 to 1964 are about 85% Common, and the '54 to 1964 Parts are about 95% Common to each other.

    BODY Parts, not so much.

What StudeRich failed to mention was that 59 and 60 Lark body parts do interchange with each other (with a few nuances that I KNOW he can tell you) There are also a few parts from the Champ pickups that will interchange with the 59-60 Larks.

Please advise more about your car, such as VIN, Model (2 door sedan, 2 door hardtop, Convertible, 4 door sedan, 4 door Station Wagon and 2 door station wagon) as well as the engine and power train. Based on your Username, I'm guessing it has (or will have) a Chevy powerplant........

Hood and fenders from any 59-60 Lark will work,
Doors must be the correct version (2 door, 4 door, sedan/hardtop) from 59 or 60 and POSSIBLY the Champ thru 62.
Front grille surround is the same between cars. The Champ is different.
The grille and turn signal bezels are year-specific, but WILL fit on either year. Same with the Champs (I have a Champ grille in my 59 Lark)
Taillight lenses will work 59 or 60, but the 60 ones are more popular.

The 1959/60 Lark front fenders are not the same as the 1961/63 front fenders. Studebaker lowered the body by about an inch in 1961 and the bottom of the front fender was changed accordingly (see photo). Click image for larger version

Ok, so the outer fender skin will work. That's mostly what I needed.
Where do I get these books?

My car is a 4 door wagon. With a 6 and three on the tree.
I don't know the vin. I just bought it yesterday.

I would like to do the champ grill. And yes I am a Chevy guy, my gm stable is 10 strong, this is the only non gm car/Truck I'll have. So yes, it will be getting a GM powertrain.

          Thanks for the replys.

The parts books are available in both paper and CD. Originals come up on ebay all the time at a wide variety of prices.

Yes, the 61/63 outer skin (fender) will work on a 59/60 but it won't match at the bottom where it meets the rocker panel, but it's been done and many people don't notice, so it depends on how picky you want to be.

Doesn't look like any a little cutting, welding and grinding couldn't fix.

                Thanks guys.
I can see I'll be in good hands here
