1957 President 2 door aplenty

I noted a while back some discussion re the relative scarcity of the 1957 President 2 door. I thought some readers might like to see the above photo. Comments welcome. Yes, they are all Presidents.

Boy, I never would have thought that they were Presidents. They are too sparsely trimmed. No bright metal trim around the windshield and very little trim along the side.

Wow that is a rare photo Richard! Obviously a fleet order, and all Police cars I would guess, with the "Custom" 57H-F2 trim level, black tires and paint and no wheelcovers that would make sense!

It looks like 7 of them, I wonder if they built that many of the Police specials with the 275 HP Golden Hawk Engine? If they did, that could be them!

I can't remember if they were 2 or 4dr. Presidents now.

Not being old enough to remember, would there have been 2 door police cars? Seems that even back then you would have wanted to separate yourself from the bad guys.

Rog; if you compare a President '57 "W" Body 4 dr. Sedan to a Commander or Champion (most are trim level 4 (Deluxe) with the full length mouldings or a 2dr. you will see that the only difference is the crossed flags and the Nameplate! The model "B" Commander or "H" President really referred to the Engine, which did include other MECHANICAL only upgrades! Nothing else changed inside or out!

These are F2 cheapies, available in Champion & Commander also.
