However Pic. #3 DOES just look wrong like a smooth, no seams Seat Cover.

The OP's last activity was 12/22/2018 and not here since, so I guess we can't ask more questions.
Nope. That's the right stuff. I have seen that woven multi-color seat material in other 50 Champions in wrecking yards as early as 1972. Remember that I started out exclusively with 50 and 51 Studebakers back in 1972 and hardly paid attention to other years until the 90's.

p.s. I tried to soften my response to Dwain, but the system will not let me modify my post.

Thanks for the correction. Authenticity isn’t a strong point for me which is why I said “not sure”. But I only remember various pin stripe fabrics. The inside facts book does show a pattern (in black and white) that resembles one of the OP’s pics. I just don’t remember anything as colorful as the fabric shown.

The color spots are so small, that they tend to pale with all the rest of the gray. The seats are really not as colorful as they would appear in that close up in the first picture. Maybe "reserved" is a more appropriate term. The upholstery looks more like the third picture in actuality.

I'm going to the wall over this but as I previously stated this looks like what is in Mary's original 50, SL coupe with #5 trim level. I've seen it before and will no doubt see it again. When multiple examples of the same material show up, in original cars, I guess the message should be obvious.
