I have been trying to decide on some parts to sell with delivery to the IM. One of the things on my short list is an AFB that I was told came off of an R engine. I bought it at a meet in the early 70s and used it briefly on my 62 GT and Joe may have used it for a short time on his first truck. I am using an Edelbrock and will probably never use the AFB again. Is it special enough, maybe for a correct restoration, to have much demand?

I presume you meant that you bought it in the 60s? The R engines, of course, were only used in 63 and 64.sals54

If it's a genuine R series carb, yes.. it's worth a few bucks in good shape.Comment
