    Paul,
Wow, to find a couple of those '64 GT door emblems now would be a bonus as a backup for my GT. Thanks for that journey back in time.Click image for larger version

Paul I have a large stack of stuff like that that came with my 64 Gt. Fun to read but heart breaking when you see what was paid 30-40 years ago. Headliner used $20. is one that i remembered. It was still in the car and other than one small mouse hole in good shape. Installed in 1974-75. It was good to use as a pattern for new headliner.

Ahhhhh yes..... The good ol' days!

My first trip ot to SB was in '71 and I clearly remember buying NOS 259 pistons for $1 apiece, an Avanti R-1 air cleaner for $5, NOS rear springs for $25 etc.

Then there was the stuff at Hurwich Iron like 259 or 289 NOS crankshafts for $10...

          Paul,...I'd like to see the invoices for Sadler's R3 & R4 engines.

I would like to see them too, but no such luck. This invoice was still on the padded envelope that held the two GT emblems, but I don't remember any other such documents. The original Granatelli crates may have had some clues, but those crates "disappeared" some time after I delivered the engines to the Museum (even though Phil Brown promised to save them).

I have a few of the invoices around here and also a N/A price book but even at the prices I remember needing to make my list and then save up before send away for the items. At the time I wanted a pair of 64 Avanti powered R-1 fender badges but they were sold out so I has to go for a pair of R-4's, plastic badges and chrome oval rings. total for the pair $6.00 back then the dollar was a dollar and harder to come by.

I bought a couple of those $10 cranks in '72. I used at least one of the 289's, but the 224 ended up several years later with Chuck Naugle and still in the original box.
