If you install both halogen high and low beams, be sure to install a relay system. Ask me how I know.
Actually, you should install a relay system anyhow.

I would recomend doing the relay thing on any system halogens or not. It makes a difference in the brightness of the lights on everything I have ever done it with. I do not know of any other way to do it than low beam realay and high beam seperate relay.

        I'll try the Amazon idea.

What are you folks currently using for relays? In the old days, there were relays available specifically intended for headlights. Dunno if they're still available. I've got some heavy duty ice cube relays, but I don't really like spade-type terminals on headlight circuits.

I bought a premade kit like this one... http://www.madelectrical.com/catalog/rly-1.shtml

$24.00 and it makes it easy

What are you going to do about the spade type terminals on the headlights? j/k Moulded connectors for the modern relays are available if you simply want to avoid remebering where to plug which terminal. Or, for the CASO, cruise through any self help auto salvage with a set of wire cutters - these moulded connectors are super popular. The kit from M.A.D. Electrical is first rate and one of their better selling part #s.

My local Wal-Mart no longer carries H6054! They tell me they aren't worth stocking because they are only used on Jeeps. I've got 23 Freightliners in the lot that say otherwise. Of course, the argument could be made the Freightliners are just AMC's with a big ego.

Guess I'll need to spend an extra $2 to get them at FLAPS.
