  • Info on Provincial Wagon Shift indicator

I have just bought a 57 Provincial Wagon to restore. It is missing the dial that
shows position of the shifter. Any one on the forum familiar with the Provincial
wagon that might send a photo or help me in a parts hunt? The wagon has
power steering not working so I will also probably need a PS pump. Bought
the car yesterday and will be bringing it home on the 18th Jan.
I have been absent from the forum for 3years having sold my 63 Gt and Avanti
but remember all the great help from the forum while restoring them. Still have the
    50 Starlight and 57 Silverhawk.

All of the Studebaker Parts that are still available including Shifter Dials (532557X3 THREE Colors for various Years), are here:

IF it IS THIS Car, the Dial was there presumably, when it left Bellingham, WA in about July 2016.

It MAY not have been in pristine condition, because the Sun does take a toll on them over 59 Years:

The shift indicator dial was broken off on my 1957 Packard when I hauled it out of the salvage yard.
I had a dial from a 1957 President that a friend had parted out some years previous. I installed it on the Packard, fit and looks great.

Yes, StudeRich, that is the car. Do you know anything of its history ? I was impressed with the
lack of rust andthe basic design. Windshield and passenger side glass is cracked.
            Thanks,

Many thanks to all. I assume the P.S. pump is common to all models, but wonder about 57 year since so early
                for power steering .
