The RHC '64 GT I took to York was a 289 two-barrel with switchable fuel- gasoline or propane. It was a Flightomatic, disk brake car, no power steering. It was shipped to the London dealer, bought new by Tony Sadler of Birmingham, England. I bought it and the rest of his collection and had everything shipped to Baltimore in 1985.
I sold it to a man from Detroit who had seen it at York. He later died and I lost track of the car. It finally surfaced a few years ago partially disassembled and was bought by a man in Kentucky. I don't know what he has done with it.

OK, I remember now that you mentioned it was able to run on propane also, that it was a V8.

I beg to differ, Bob; the last car in that front row, the one the farthest from the camera, is certainly pointing toward the street, just like all of them in that long row.

Now as to whether or not is is a convertible, I don't know. BP

I don't think anyone is going to be able to tell. That is, convertible or not. It is easy to see what direction the car is pointing. I think it is glare on the wing window glass that might give the impression of a rear roof pillar. But, frankly where it meets the roof it is too narrow at the top. Also the incline of the grill (top out farther, bottom inward) is obviously facing front.

I have a 10x11 pic of that and it sure looks like a rear side roof to me pointing towards the road.
Ill drive over and check (g)

Now, is the very last car (at the far end of the front row) a convertible with the top up? I'm straining, but can't tell for sure. BP
Thanks Bob, I'm getting old and didn't notice the side moldings! I guess what threw me was my Dad purchased his 1964 Commander with quad headlamps. Guess that's the way Przywara Motors ordered them.

The car with the front end just touching the left "Grimsby" support post appears to me to be a 2-door, maybe HT. The sail panel seems a bit larger and the roof line a bit shorter. There's not enough of it visible to be sure.

StudeRich, yes l knew that they MADE them, but l should have been clearer. By "Canada only got 6 cylinder Hawks up to 1959" l meant that 6 cylinder Hawks were not a regular part of the line-up of cars offered in Canada after 1959, just like the USof A. Yes, the Hawks with a six made after 1959 were for export (l'm sure there may have been an exception or two, as there always seems to be!).

l remember a six cylinder '64 Bermuda Brown GT Hawk with RHD at York a LONG time ago, supposedly brot back from England.

interesting that everyone is focusing on the CARS. Has no one spotted what looks like a Champ pickup parked behind the second car from the right? A no too common item up here since all came out of South Bend. Foliage, or lack thereof, would indicate either spring or fall of 64 so after South Bend shut down. Any possibility that these are actually 1965 models?

Any Commanders in the photo with single headlights would be 1964 models.

Look at the open door of that truck ,the back of the door is rounded not like the square of a Champ . I think its a Ford possible.
