    Not sure what's happened here....a mix of old and new apparently:

    Pretty easy to figure out, a 289 Replacement Block setup to look original in a '57 with all of the '57 Upper Parts installed on the Full Flow Block.

    Exactly how a Dealer would have done it, but usually the Block-off Plate was left on the Full Flow opening, not the best IMHO, but the "proper" way to not vary from stock as a Dealer was expected/required to do.

    The 7 Qt. Oil changes get a tad pricey, but it's all good, and BETTER, the best of both; Large, quick and dirty filtering, and fine slow filtered.
