    I did notice a pair of coil springs in trunk with the spare fuel tank.I didn't think to look at brake drum sizes. 6's had 9 or 10 inch drums and 8's were 11's?

      Six Cylinder = 10" Front, 9" rear

      V8 = 11" Front, 10" rear.

          If you're looking for a project car, there is a '63 2 door Daytona hardtop being offer by" Pappybaker" in Mt Pleasant Pa. on the Stude Swap page. It sounds like a pretty nice car that has some assembly required. Worth a check in my opinion. Bill

              Don't worry about the springs - you'll likely be removing the front suspension for bushings and such. That's the best time to bring up the front end...That is unless your engine is a prefix: "S" = 6-banger (glasses?)

                Yeah,Jackb,that is one of the first things on the agenda. Pretty sure about the engine.I don't need glasses to tell a 6 from an 8 ha ha.small print is a different story....

                  Welcome to the FORUM. Another Studebaker fan is always a good thing.
                  If the car you're looking at is a 64, I have a back window from my 64 Daytona 4 Dr that should fit. Have the 11" front brakes too. Perhaps some other parts also. Good luck.

                    Contact Mark Frank just south of the DFW area.

                    Mark helped me out when I was on the road on the Hot Rod Power Tour and he had a 64 GT Hawk at his facility that was for sale by the owner. If nothing else, he has a lot of contacts for other folks that are looking to buy or sell Studes.

                    He may have moved his shop location by now, so start out with a phone call.
