Isn't that Sky King's plane
The plane behind the Studebakers is a Beech 18...or as the military called them, a C-45.
Sky King's first plane (albeit with similar looking radial engines) was a Cessna T-50...or Army Air Force UC-78/AT-8/AT-17 "Bobcats", USN JRC-1 or as the Canadians called them, Crane 1s. About 5000 were built, however because of a wood wing structure, not many survive. Less than 50 fly today.
Sky later went onto a nice (all metal) new Cessna 310B.

I know where Langley Air Force Base is in Virginia (in fact I drove by it today), but I know that Judy would not have let Peter come to Virginia without her. So I suspect that you mean the Langley Township Regional Airport in Langley, BC. Have you ever been to their Canada Day celebration?quote:Originally posted by Mark57
OK Steve, do you know where Langley is[?][}

Wow! Peter's Champ without the camper that he and Judy took to South Bend! Is he making a drag race truck out of it now?

)]Mark, the Langley that Peter went to is up there in Canada somewhere. I'm not quite sure of the exact location, but it's not the AF Base in Virginia.[
