The Wisconsin Region Studebaker Drivers Club is excited to announce that they will be hosting the 2023 International Meet in beautiful Manitowoc, Wisconsin. This area is full of great driving roads that take you to attractions in Door County, Two Rivers, Koehler, and Elkhart Lake just to name a few. I’ve attached some information. It’s easy to get here. The fairgrounds and the hotels are right off the freeway And the host hotel is a few minutes away from the fairgrounds.

There were worries that there would be no International meet next year. Very happy to see the announcement, and will do my darndest to get myself there. Looks like some great activities in the local area. ThanksTom Senecal Not enough money or years to build all of the Studebakers that I think I can.

I doubt I could afford a meet that was anywhere but in my back yard but, just for curiosity, I checked Google Maps for a route avoiding Chicago from my house to Ludington to Manitowoc.
Instead of putting me on the ferry at Ludington it takes me to Muskegon for the high speed ferry to Milwaukee, then north.
Maybe Google isn't aware of the Ludington-Manitowoc Ferry.Brad Johnson,

You know, that might be a great trip for after the meet to circle back west. I have not toured the midwest and if I don't do it now, I probably won't ever do it. Who knows, I may make a fall tour of the areas.

? Another thread on this? There was already one posted a few days ago. I’m guessing Clark will merge this one into that one.Proud NON-CASO

Manitowoc is not that far north of Chicago. When do the leaves typically start changing in Wisconsin? Mid-September seems a bit early for fall colors in central or northern Wisconsin.Mark L

I agree it will be a fantastic meet. As we still have 90 degree temperatures in Arizona, how should I dress for September weather in Wisconsin. Also I have to decided what car to bring?

They will be starting in mid September but reach their peak about 3 weeks to a month later.Originally posted by Mark L View PostManitowoc is not that far north of Chicago. Bring either one.Originally posted by 6hk71400 View Post
Historic average temperature for Manitowoc in mid September is 71° during the day and 55° at night. The historic records are 97° and 37° for mid September. It could be anything but it is usually very pleasant at that time of the year. Sort of the calm before the storm. I don't ever recall snow in September although records say we had a few snow flurries in Milwaukee on September 20, 1954.james r pepper
