Itinerary for Sept '21 drive to Indianapolis meet

Here is my itinerary for my ('47 Land Cruiser) drive from Tacoma, WA to Indianapolis for the National meet:

9/2 Tacoma, WA to Baker City, OR 390 mi
9/3 To Montpelier, ID 449 mi
9/4 To Cheyenne, WY 415 mi
9/5 To Lincoln, NE 442 mi
9/6 To Springfield, IL 433 mi
9/7 To Indianapolis, IN 207 mi

Distances may vary a little but should be 6 - 7 hrs a day driving. I plan to make motel reservations at each place soon.

Thanks Randy. I was working on a itinerary on the other post but now I will follow your newest post. I will probably meet you in Cheyenne. Let me and other know about the motels.

Here are the lodging reservations I have made:

9/2 Baker City, OR - Geiser Grand ($282) - 1996 Main St
9/3 Montpelier, ID - Clover Creek Inn ($108) 243 N 4th St
9/4 Cheyenne, WY - Travelodge ($87) 1625 Stillwater
9/5 Lincoln, NE - Country Inn ($82) 5353 N 27th St NE
9/6 Springfield, IL - Baymont ($72) 5871 S 6th St Frontage Rd E

The Geiser Grand in Baker City is expensive but is very charming and has sentimental value. There are many other places to stay in town.

My daughter and I will be joining the caravan in Cheyenne, driving the blue Lark Daytona in my avatar. Prior to joining the caravan, my daughter and I will be visiting my sister in Missoula MT and my niece in Billings MT. After we meet up with you, we will be staying at different hotels than you in Cheyenne WY and Springfield IL, but the same hotel in Lincoln NE.

After the IM is over, we are driving up to South Bend to visit my parents and take care of some personal business. We are then heading west to Omaha to visit my daughter's friend, then we will be going west through Rapid City, Billings, and Missoula.

My Lark is set up to pull a small trailer. If anyone needs anything hauled west, something that will fit in a trailer, let me know. I'd appreciate a donation to help offset the cost of the trailer and the gas.

We live in Tuscola il and are not going over to Indy until Wednesday. Looks like you will be a day ahead of us.

What route are you taking from Springfield IL to Indianapolis? Tuscola is on Rt 36 about 80 miles east of Springfield. We could meet somewhere in town for coffee or something if that is going to be on your path.

Also, if you need any help with mechanical problems that last day (no matter what route you take), don't hesitate to call me at 217-493-3971. I can come with tools, trailer, and/or parts to help. I can also make my shop available for temporary storage or major surgery.
