  • Others Not Getting PM Notifications via Email?

    I'm set up to get Private Message notifications via email, but lately have not been getting them. Just talked to another forum member that has not been getting them either.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    I am assuming you have it turned on for forum chatter.... there are 2, one for forum responses and one for if you get a PM on your SDC account. You may check junk mail in your email to see if you are getting them but your email is blocking them. I checked mine and notification was turned off...... I turned it on just to see if I get any. Will let you know if it does or doesn't work.

      FYI I turned on the option to forward notification info to my personal email address. Received a new notice but it did not forward to my personal email. So not working.....

        I am getting my Private Messages, but still no notification emails. Have checked my notification settings and they seem correct. Maybe another issue from the last software update?

          @showbizkid​ - Same here so it is not just effecting r1lark. In response to his inquiry I turned on notifications as well. Like r1lark I get a prompt in my private messages on the web site but do not get a notification in my personal email. So the forwarding function within the system is not working.

            I’m curious as to how many of you experiencing this issue are using Gmail email addresses? Gmail is especially aggressive about filtering automatic emails and treats them like spam to the point where they don’t even appear in spam folders.

            Other email providers are doing the same thing but Gmail is the notable one because so many people use it. And because this is happening outside of our system, there is nothing we can do about it.

              No...................not using a gmail email address.

                I am not using Gmail either... but you have a valid point. Checked my spam folder and it is not being blocked and ending up there.
