  • Cannot mark Inbox messages as "read".

In the message center the tool for marking messages as read appears to not work. I hit "select all", and blue check marks appear in all the little squares. Then I hit "mark as read", and get a "done" popup, and then all the blue checks disappear again, and leave me with one "unread" message. What gives?

If someone has sent a message that is unread, I cannot find it. Perhaps a new message would be useful, if anyone out there is puzzled as to not getting a reply from me?

I gave up trying to clear it. Mines up to 255 right now.

Dwain G. , gordr - Sorry you guys are having problems with this. I can use my Admin tools to clear your PM inboxes if you like, but it's an "all or nothing" proposition - I can only clear things, not retain selective messages.

Please let me know if you'd like me to do this for you.

Well, I don't want all messages cleared, because I might want to go review some. But it sure would be nice to have some sort of indicator as to which message threads have been newly pinged. Any chance of getting some help from the software provider?

I wish. If I had the opportunity, I’d opt for a different software.

But there may be a third-party plug-in. I’ll look around.

No problem, Dwain - you're all clear.

Don't know if related or not but, about a week ago I started getting many "notifications" of threads I have NOT subscribed to, or even opened to read.
Today when I logged on I had eleven new notifications in my messages folder; ALL of them were new threads posted AFTER my last visit.

Brad, it sounds like maybe you somehow have automatic subscriptions turned on. Have you edited your preferences lately? Might have ticked a box by accident.
