    Do I need to check a box somewhere?

    Click on the "Forums" tab up top.
    Click on your subject (ie: Stove Huggers)
    Click on your original post.
    Click on the "Subscribe" box.

      I don't believe new posts you've made appear with the 'What's New' button, since you've 'read' them already. You can always go to the Latest Activity tab and should see it there.

        Yeah, generally you won't see your own posts in "What's New" unless they have been replied to.
