  • Body / Glass: Help Identifying a Champ 6E-T6?

I'm trying to figure out what model truck this is. The owner claims it's a '62, but I can't find it on the: StudebakerTruckDataPage?

    Thanks!

Being a 6E makes it a 61. T6 is Champ with the deluxe cab package (chrome grille, w/shield moldings, chrome vent frames & sliding back glass.

Thanks Warren. Is there a way to tell if it's a 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck from the info I have? Do I need to look elsewhere on the truck?

The vin plate on the drivers door lock post will give a lot of the info you want.

What Warren said. The plate you have pictured is just the cab body ID plate, and that does not tell you anything about the truck model. The vehicle ID plate gives the truck model number. As noted on the truck model table, 6E5 or 7 is half ton, and 6E10 or 12 is 3/4 ton.
