  • Engine: 1962 Block in '64 car

Can a 1962 block with a partial flow oil filter be used with a '64 by using in the a '64 valve train cover and a PCV valve instead of the down-draft tube?

    Thanks

    Yes. Everything should bolt on.

Can't see why not. The only major difference is the partial flow vs full flow oil filter. There were some minor changes in oiling of the rockers, the oil drain back, and some other things but all of the stuff can be either used, changed, or what ever. If you are swapping the whole engine it will be an easy swap. If you are making the engine up from early and late parts then don't mix and match valve train, heads, etc... unless they have the same part number. But a straight swap with just the PCV mod then go for it. Len.
