    John:
Are you sure about those numbers? The clutch shaft for an M15A is shown as a 3/4" dia. shaft, p/n 676138, replaced by 678604 shaft plus 524848 plug. Your p/n 525312 is grease retainer cup, not a bushing, though maybe it includes the bushing. When I rebuilt my M5, There were a number of worn clutch parts. As I recall, I may have had the 676129 bushing bored oversize and fitted with a stock bronze bushing (McMaster or MSC). I also drilled and tapped holes for grease fittings into the steel parts and through the bronze bushings instead of relying on the oil drip holes.

Be sure to check the wear on the clutch shaft itself, as well as the brake shaft, to make sure they are not way undersize. I had a new pedal shaft machined, can send you the drawing if needed. I think there are NOS clutch shafts around.

Gary, thanks for responding. I'm going by the parts manual and I will say there is a bit of confusion with this particular part. Those two part numbers, 678604 & 524848 are not even in my "Part Catalog for M-Series Truck". The rebuilder believes he purchased the correct shaft but cannot locate the "small bushing".
