  • Body / Glass: 1961 Lark Tailights

    Howdy guys,

So I have the opportunity to buy tail light housings for the 61 Lark, but the guy selling them isn't 100% sure if they're 59 or 60 or 61, are they all the same housing just different lenses?

    Thanks guys,
    Ryan

You can tell the '59 & '60 Taillight housings from the '61's because the Bulb Sockets on '59-'60's are Diagonal on the outboard corner and the '61's are totally in the Rear.
This means the rear panel has the hole for the bulb socket, NOT both the rear panel AND the Rear Fender like on a '59 or '60.

The Housings are not interchangeable, neither are the lenses as Gary indicated.

Those are ‘59 - ‘60 housings. They are chrome plated since the very edge shows around the lens. The ‘61 housing has a galvanized finish since it is totally covered by the lens.
