i see MAXX products has a billet distributor that is electronic and fits the 289. Any experience with it?

I looked carefully at their website and only saw a distributor that would fit a '65,'66 GM engine.
Is there a custom one they offer for the Stude V8?

The Stude version is on eBay. I had a customer recently tell me that they’re Chinese made and not very high quality. He sent his back and called us for parts to rebuild his original distributor.

Notes: Ready to run vacuum advance distributor.

Can be easily converted to mechanical advance

A bit confusing at first, but probably it comes with mechanical and vacuum advance, and the vacuum can be removed to become mechanical-only.

Price is reasonable, but if they are poor quality it might not be such a good deal. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

I don't see any complaints on the quality of the billet dist. purchased from MAXX on ebay? They seem to have a lot of offerings for many out of production engines, in line Chev. 6, nailhead Buick etc. For the price it may be worth a try.

I just received mine and it looks to be of nice quality. Very likely Chinese made but for the price it looks great every bit the quality of my MSD Billit units I have for my chevys . But the proof will be in getting some miles on one and see how it holds up.
