  • Engine: Supercharger vacuum supply w/ electric fuel pump

The Paxton supercharger needs a vacuum source to function properly, and using an electric fuel pump with the manual pump blocked off, how should the vacuum to the supercharger be sourced? Carb or fuel injection throttle body or an external vacuum pump? Looking down the road I will most likely be in this predicament as I intend to use electronic fuel injection and a supercharger on my GT Hawk, so any suggestions or commentary is welcome. Thanks, Bill.

I don't think you mean vacuum. There is a line from the S/C to the fuel pump to boost the fuel pressure to prevent starvation. If using an electric pump, you can install a fuel pressure regulator that has a boost reference port.

An 8-10# electric fuel pump, return line system and a Mallory 4309 regulator. Of course Mallory is NLA, so there must be another usable type
