Hello all. Finallly getting to fixing the tailgate window regulator, so the window can roll down.I cant find my body manual, so please forgive the description ;-)
the chrome handle on the gate, has a small metal thing which slides onto it, on the back side, opposite the handle, so actually inside the gate.... it looks like a bell, really. the small end of the bell, has inside splines (which are totally stripped out). The regulator has male outside splines which engage the inside (stripped) splines. Are they made from unobtanium? Anybody have a good one in their bucket of Studebaker bits?
I'm in southern California, near Palm Springs...
