  • Engine: Starting 1950 Champion for first time in 20 years

About a year ago I posted that a friend's mother was going to sell me her late husband's 1950 Champion. My friend delivered it from MN to CO 2 weeks ago. It was running 20 years ago and I would like to get it going again. What steps should I take to ensure I don't damage anything. Change all the fluids, that would be an obvious one to me. Electrical issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The body was completely redone and painted 20 years ago. Interior needs a bunch of tlc.

    Thanks

    Tom

First get the brakes working. Don't even put a battery in it before it has brakes. It's too tempting to drive when it runs and if you haven't done the brakes, it could be nasty.
