  • Body / Glass: Weather stripping

I have a 64 Daytona convertible. I am trying to replace the weather stripping on the quarter windows. The stripping fits into a channel on the vertical edge of the quarter window where it meets the door windows. It appears the stripping should slide into the channel from the bottom. My first problem is that it is very difficult to feed the stripping in from the bottom because the bottom part of the quarter window is tough to access whether it's up or down. Second, once I get the stripping about a quarter of the way fed into the channel, it starts to stick and I cant feed any more in.

Anyone got any suggestions? Am I doing this the wrong way? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

That's the way I had to do it. Silicon lube works even better, but then you may feel compelled to remove it somehow from the finished product.
