  • Body / Glass: Chrome Trim Strip?

Is there a chrome or stainless trim strip that goes between the roof and upper rear quarter on the Hawk models? Specificaly, as a separation strip between two paint colors (roof and body).

UPDATE - I just found this picture of the separator trim which goes around the back a Power Hawk roof. Is this a Stock Studebaker part, or has it been Custom made?

That is a stock paint line trim, Some 55's and 56's had the trim. The side check mark is off a Sky Hawk. Power or Flight Hawks did not have the check marks.

What Brad said in Post #2.

That color division strip around the bottom of the backlite was first used in first-series 1955 C and K models to break the two-tone roof on two-tone models. It was discontinued for second-series 1955 C and K models when the roof color continued down and included the deck lid, the inner portions and upper rear portions of the rear fenders. BP
