Hard to tell from the pictures, but is there an indentation, or a flat spot on the rear of the manifold by the lower water hose connection?
That flat spot/indentation was put there in 1955 to clear the fuel pump when the pump was moved to the side of the timing gear cover. It should be below the 154 in the casting number.
Since I cannot see the indentation/flat spot, this manifold looks like it is from a 232, built in 51-54.RadioRoy, specializing in AM/FM conversions with auxiliary inputs for iPod/satellite/CD player. In the old car radio business since 1985.

I'm thinking that it does not have the indentation to clear the fuel pump. That means if you put this manifold on a 55 or newer engine, you will not be able to install a mechanical fuel pump and maybe it won't even clear the pump mount on the timing gear cover.Last edited by RadioRoy; 09-14-2015, 07:07 PM.RadioRoy, specializing in AM/FM conversions with auxiliary inputs for iPod/satellite/CD player.
