I am in the process of preserving my 1928 FAE Cabriolet Studebaker . I plan to make it as safe and mechanically sound as I can.
The questions I have.
1. I need to have the engine looked at. It runs, has one cylinder that is weak, at some point in the past the head was welded and is leaking some anti freeze
but, the crack isn't by the weak cylinder. Any recommendations on a good shop in the Cincinnati area.
2. Who could re-arch my leaf springs. They appear flat.
3. Is it recommended to degrease and repaint the engine, frame, chassis, brake drums and so on without dismantling the car
or will this prove to be a lot of work and hurt the vale of the car.
Thanks

You might really want to think about how you want to use the car. It can run on Sunday drives and parades for a really long time with a weak cylinder and a small antifreeze leak. Enjoy the car!
