  • Body / Glass: 1956 2E5 Serial number

I've searched for the serial numbers of a 1956 2E5, but came up empty. What serial numbers should I find on this truck? Thanks.

Are you saying you do have the serial number plate attached to the driver's side seat riser above the step?
1956 2E5 serial numbers began at E5-119501. Don't have a definite ending number, but it had to be lower than 123000.

The seller has told me that the vehicle is titled by the engine number, which is: 2E7306; but I asked him to look on the driver's side of the seat riser for a tag. I believe - based on your reply - that he should find a tag reading somewhere between E5-119501 to E5-123000.

Yes, some states (most notably, California) used the engine number for registration until the mid-50s. 2E7306 equates to a 1956 224 ci truck engine. A copy of the production order from the Stude Museum would have both engine and vehicle serial numbers on it.
