  • Ignition: New HEI distribitor

I have installed a new HEI distribitor. There are two wires coming out of the dist. One is the 12Volts and the other is for a tach. Is there any way I can connect the tach wire to my tach? This is on a 62 Hawk. The back of the tach has two terminals.

Is there a wiring electrical diagram for this application?

'65 and '66 McKinnon's.. With them, you can retrofit just about any SBC HEI, as long as you make sure it doesn't hit the firewall.

Leroy's question was whether the GM HEI tach wire would run the Studebaker tachometer...direct.
That I have no clue about.
He gave to model or engine info in his OP, so it's a guess at best.
