  • Engine: Oil fill tube and plug wire clips

The right side engine view for a 57B, Engine plate 01-2 shows 1 clip for 4 plug wires on the rearmost valve cover bolt and a clip for 2 plug wires on the 3rd cover bolt. My car, a 259, has the 4 wire clip bolted on the rear intake manifold bolt and 2-2 wire clips on the last 2 valve cover bolts respectfully. Which is correct? Also, what are the 2 horizontal holes midway up the oil fill tube for?

The clips on the intake are from a later engine. The holes on the filler tube is for the oil filter mounting bracket (optional).

Thanks. I guess I have a extra clip on each side. The 4 wire clip has been moved to the rear of the intake and replaced in it's former position on the rear of the valve cover by another 2 wire clip. That gives me two 2 wire clips on each valve cover.
