Body / Glass: Door Mirror on Drivers Door on 47 Champion 4 door

The car is comming together well. Looks great with the new Carpet from Loga's and seats back in.
I purcahsed a new door mirror at Dover this year and am wondering whre to put it other than matching it up with the old door. Is there a location template or such or can someone give me a couple of dimensions off of an original car?

The mirrors were installed by the dealers. That means they could be anywhere, even where they cannot be seen from the drivers seat.

Put it where you can see it from the driver's position.

Thanks Roy. I will see where it is mounted on my original 48 and where it was on the old driver door and see how it is visible in those places and decide with visibility as a first concern.
