  • Front Axle / Front Suspension: Flipping spindels

Has anybody ever flipped the front spindles on a c or k to lower the front end? I have heard about folks doing this before but want to get some feed back. I have a customer with a 53 C who wants to flip his spindles to lower the front end.

Any input and feedback will be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Flipping...sounds a bit strange..

But the later spindles "are" different thAn the early versions. Don't know the exact years, but I'd guess it's the same years as the change in caster.
So in "about" 62, you gain a little caster and loose about 1.0" in height.

The differences can be seen just by compairing the different spindles, side-by-side.

      Mike:
When you say "later" spindles, does that include '76 Avanti II and will they "bolt" onto a '53 C/K?
      Thanks
