    Need help.....looking for a crankshaft rear seal for a flathead 6 cylinder. I have a 1950 Land Cruiser

    You need one for the 246 Commander Flathead, not the 170 Champion engine. Make sure you get the right one by buying from our vendors.

        As in any engine there are two components to the rear seal the lower being the oil pan and the upper being the rear main. Rear seal leaks is usually the lower component, the pan, so a pan gasket set is probably all you need. Dave

          Thanks for the info Dave, however, the original seal is a complete circle with one cut, not a two piece. So I continue my search. I will search for pan gasket set and see what is available.
