  • Body / Glass: 63 lark trunk latch

Wondering if anyone has changed one from key entry to cable pull with any great success with out a lot of excess work or one that might work from a pick and pull fairly easy.Just a thought. Mac

On a driver '63 Lark 2 Door Sedan we bought in Grants Pass, OR someone run a tie wire through the center of the package tray directly to the Latch, they put a thread Spool on the end to keep it from falling in the trunk, works like a charm.
The lock cly. is still in place with the long crank like piece that always breaks off missing, DA!

Not a Lark, but on my '53 I bought a generic T handle and push pull cable (like you'd find to open the hood on a Lark or operate the OD, etc). I sunk a cup into the driver's door jamb and installed the handle there (similar to an Avanti)...

I ran the cable to the latch on the deck lid and attached it so that it would trip the latch...

It enabled me to smooth off the deck lid...

It worked great for the 10 years I drove that car.
